PGG Wrightson is New Zealand’s leading provider to the agricultural sector, offering a wide range of products, services and solutions to growers, farmers and processors in New Zealand and internationally. To achieve our vision of Being leaders in the field - helping grow the country, we draw on the knowledge and expertise of more than 2,100 staff, and we have forged alliances and partnerships with leaders in the field to meet the needs of more than 40,000 clients across New Zealand, Australia and South America. Revenues currently exceed NZ $1.2 billion on assets of NZ $1.5 billion.

The company, with a head office in Christchurch and listed on the NZX under the code PGW, was formed in October 2005 through the merger of Pyne Gould Guinness Limited and Wrightson Limited. PGG and Wrightson had a combined history of more than 300 years, dating from 1851 and 1841 respectively. Rural Supplies
PGG Wrightson is a leading, and New Zealand’s only national, supplier of goods and services to the rural sector through a network of 94 stores.

Livestock
New Zealand’s largest field force of livestock representatives, managing a wide variety of relationships between farmers, meat processors, livestock exporters, stud-stock breeders and buyers; facilitating the buying and selling of livestock on behalf of clients at auction and privately on-farm.

Livestock Export
Contract export of dairy heifers and other livestock into international markets including South East Asia, China and Mexico.

Insurance
A range of specialised insurance products meeting the needs of farmers.

Real Estate
A national rural real estate business conducted through an experienced team of sales representatives with specialised knowledge of the rural property market. Services are provided to local and international vendors, and buyers of all forms of rural, residential and lifestyle property.

Irrigation & Pumping
A full service package of irrigation system design and construction, with a primary focus on the design and installation of “turnkey” irrigation and pumping projects, for agriculture and horticulture.

PGG Wrightson Finance
A fully developed set of financial products and services tailored to meet the individual needs of farmers.

AgriTech division:

Combining proprietary know how, pastoral technology and science as the Southern Hemisphere’s leading player in forage seed and a strong provider in turf, grain and nutrition.

Seeds
A broad-based New Zealand and international seeds marketing capability built around market-leading proprietary products. This is underpinned by a strong research base focused on delivering improved products to farmers through plant genetics, seed enhancement and forage animal performance. We own 85 percent of Wrightson PAS, a seeds company based in Uruguay, and invest in agricultural operations that support the development of our business in South America.

Nutrition
Importing, processing and wholesaling of molasses-based liquid feeds, minerals, feeding equipment and veterinary products, for animal nutrition and disease prevention.

Grain
Offering New Zealand’s largest grain brokerage and marketing service, with strong relationships with growers via a network of field representatives throughout key cropping areas.
